The task is to create a Learning Plan Folio using the 5E model for Year 4 Biological Sciences (Living things & ecosystems) (approx. 1250 words).

Introduction/rationale (250 words)
5 phases: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate
For each phase:
Activity (~100 words)
Justification (~100 words)
Must include all 3 strands:
Science Understanding
Science Inquiry Skills
Science as a Human Endeavour
Include STEM integration
Use APA 7 referencing
Align with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA)

My previous assignment received a low mark, and my teacher gave specific feedback that must be addressed in this task. The main issues were:

The work was too general and not clearly applied to classroom practice
Lack of a strong introduction with a clear thesis/purpose
Key terms (e.g. inquiry-based learning, scientific literacy) were not clearly defined
The science concept was not specific enough
Weak links to the Australian Curriculum
Not enough justification (explaining WHY activities support learning)
