Interview a professional within your practice setting in a 1015 minute video presentation. You will act as a professional leader hiring another professional within your practice setting.

Leadership development is an ongoing process. Becoming an effective leader includes having a repertoire of skills in combination with one’s life experiences, stories, and challenges perceived as opportunities for growth. One of the most valuable journeys we embark on is self-discovery, awareness, and growth. All of you have the potential to be leaders who transform healthcare delivery and quality of services, making a difference in the lives of others.

In this assessment, we will consider the philosophy and practice of servant leadership. You will be asked to develop a portrait of your own leadership that examines specific leadership characteristics and articulate the manner in which leadership can be used to empower others. In this assessment, you will demonstrate your leadership style and skills when you conduct your professional interview.

Create a 10-15-minute video presentation for a professional interview to showcase your skills and leadership qualities. You will submit the video presentation as the deliverable for the assessment.

The presentation should be based on the following criteria and presented in the order listed:

• Introduction:

oProvide a general overview of the position and the required skills.

The overview should match the job description, so be sure to review that.

• Interview plan:

oDevelop an interview plan that includes various question types related to specific information needed for the position.

oResearch the position and develop questions that showcase the requirements and qualities of the position. For example, suppose you are interviewing for a radiology technician. In that case, you will want to prepare questions regarding the equipment, patient interaction, difficulties with positioning and how to overcome those difficulties, et cetera.

oProvide open-ended questions regarding experience, skill set, qualities, et cetera.

oMake sure to give the candidate enough time to answer the question.
