n accordance with the Syllabus, for your first written assignment, choose a scholarly journal article on a contemporary national security challenge within cyberspace and conduct a literature review, meaning, (1) summarize the main points of the article, (2) then assess the utility of the article on informing your understanding of the issue.

Did the author succeed in convincing you this is a national security challenge, and do you agree with their premise?

Do not be afraid to be critical or disagree. Be sure to look for holes in the argument or identify assumptions the author may have made and whether or not the author identified any counter arguments and accounted for those positions.

This assignment is meant to build on what you have already learned in CRJ 302 and CRJ 303: analyzing different viewpoints, critiquing various perspectives, analyzing how scientific information enters into the policy making process.

Further, this assignment is also designed to help build a foundation for what you will be doing throughout this course and act as some benefit for those of you that may be thinking about graduate school and the type of assignments you will have there.
